Somewhere Else
Everyday,
I walk around doing all
The things I’m “supposed to do.”
All the while
I’m really not even there.
Physically present, sure,
I’ll give you that.
But in my daydreams I’m doing what I want,
Not what I’m told.
You see,
I learned a long, long time ago,
That I could accomplish things in this place we call Reality
And yet still spend most of my time in the better Reality of my mind.
So I took full advantage.
And I hope that you do, too.
I mean, what’s life without other worlds and other adventures?
What’s life without imagination and dreams?
What would happen if we only had the here and now?
Life would be so much worse than it sometimes seems.
