Historical Commission Announces Conn Historical Writing Award Winners
Cleveland, TN–The Church of God Historical Commission recently announced the winners of the Charles W. Conn Historical Writing Award. The 2018-2020 award winners are Lyle Esau for his book, Reflections: The History of International Bible College [Canada] (Tellwell Talent, 2019), and to Dr. Debbie Bilbo Murray for her article-length chapter, “A Life Around Lee” in High Callings: Vocational Narratives of Lee University Faculty at the Century Mark (Cleveland, TN: Lee University Press, 2018).

Cleveland, TN–The Lee University School of Nursing Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree program has once again been awarded accreditation by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). The Washington, DC-based CCNE Board of Commissioners met in May to determine accreditation approvals.

During the pandemic, millions of vulnerable children were forced to remain home with unsafe caretakers due to school closings and quarantine restrictions, and experts are predicting a sharp increase in child abuse reports when school returns this fall. Group Files Petition to Save Disabled Man from Death by Dehydration
The wife of a brain-injured man in Louisiana wants to withdraw his nutrition and hydration in order to facilitate his death by dehydration and starvation. Joshua Barras suffered a brain injury over two years ago after a tragic suicide attempt. He is responsive and can be seen smiling and even singing in videos, but he is dependent on a feeding tube for nutrition and hydration. Life Legal has filed legal pleadings to ensure that Joshua continues to receive care, including food and water.
