“The Mountain and the Garden” pastor Loran Livingston, January 26, 2020
Today pastor Loran has preached that every person does through so called “phases of life”, and we must stop trying to feel worthy or qualified to call on God, and just call unto God in prayer and worship no matter where we are. As Christians- we need to stop trying to “feel as Christians”, but start to live as Christians, because we are in Christ Jesus. Now life of Jesus is our life and neither our failures nor victories define who we are- but the fact that we are children of God, saved and redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus that He shed on the cross for us all. Remember: you are a child of God and nothing can change that! It’s up to you what you do with it, since the Holy Spirit is right here to help you through everything in life and He is praying to God through you. Don’t forget that every person whom God used for His glory at some point of their life had to go through a time of suffering, loneliness & betrayal, but God was always there with them all. From the mountaintop to the garden of Gethsemane- Jesus had experienced it all: glory and praise from people and also betrayal, humiliation, beatings and torturing sufferings. We are all humans and that makes us inconsistent and incapable to live the way we want for Jesus, but we must learn to praise God in both places: whether we are on a mountaintop or in the most difficult & darkest place in our lives.
