The Road Traveled
“Sometimes the road less traveled is less traveled for a reason”
― Jerry Seinfeld.
I like Seinfeld’s quote. It brings balance.
Following the crowd has certainly been proven to often be a terrible choice—but not always. The majority can actually be right sometimes.
And romanticizing the loner who insisted on breaking with the norms and plotting a new course can also be a disaster—there’s a fine line between being a disruptor of the outdated and being a destroyer of the essential foundations.
The real issue is finding the path that God has laid out for you. Sometimes you’ll be surrounded with a crowd of fellow travelers and sometimes you will have to walk alone.
But the important thing is that you’re traveling in the right direction with the ONE who never leaves you nor forsakes you.
The ONE THING for today: You have a path to travel, a journey to take, a destination to reach. You do not have travel alone. Jesus has promised to never leave nor forsake those who pledge allegiance to Him. (Matthew 28:16-20)
