Where did the Lake Wobegon Women go?

“That’s the news from Lake Wobegon, where all the women are strong, all the men are good-looking, and all the children are above average.”

I am deeply saddened by the results of the mid-term elections. The direction my country is going feels so unnatural.

The ONE THING for today: Whether abortion is moral and/or legal I will leave to the theologians and legislators (and the voters) to guide us, but as a human being, everything within me cries out that it is unnatural for a mother to put her body and her well-being before her own child.
