While we are talking about church names I noticed just a week ago that the United Pentecostal Church changed its name to First Church. The church has been there about 30 years ( a friend of mine pastored there for 15 years ) it’s on a high travelled street and although we have 15 or so churches none had First in front of their name. So will it help? Will the old folks accept it ? Will the public know why they changed the name?
