December 10th 2018: Prayers from the Bible
Faith: Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace you have been saved through
faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.”
Hope: Romans 15:4 “For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.”
Love: 1 John 4:19 “We love, because He first loved us.”
Forgiveness: 1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
Mercy: Luke 6:36 “Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.”
Kindness: Ephesians 4:32 “Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.”
Generosity: 2 Corinthians 9:11 “you will be enriched in everything for all liberality, which through us is producing thanksgiving to God.”
Compassion: 1 Peter 3:8 “To sum up, all of you be harmonious, sympathetic, brotherly, kindhearted, and humble in spirit;”
Joy: Romans 12:12 “rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer.”
Salvation: John 14:6 “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.”
Obedience: James 1:22-25 “But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror; for once he has looked at himself and gone away, he has immediately forgotten what kind of person he was. But one who looks intently at the perfect law, the law of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man will be blessed in what he does.”
Life: John 10:10 “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”
