FOOLS DESPISE WISDOM

[The fear of the Lord indicates the spiritual reverence and awe which all of us owe to our Abba Father; the love of God shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit produces the deepest SPIRITUAL AWE, GENUINE DEVOTION, and JOYFUL OBEDIENCE!] “The fear of the LORD IS THE BEGINNING OF KNOWLEDGE, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” (Prov. 1:7) [This is why it is so important for us to HIDE GOD’S WORD IN OUR HEART; it is the most important thing we can do!] “My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding– indeed, if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, THEN YOU WILL UNDERSTAND THE FEAR OF THE LORD AND FIND THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD.” (Prov. 2:1-5) [Consider the unmeasurable value of Godly wisdom!] “WISDOM WILL SAVE YOU FROM THE WAYS OF WICKED MEN, from men whose words are perverse, who have left the straight paths to walk in dark ways, who delight in doing wrong and rejoice in the perverseness of evil, whose paths are crooked and who are devious in their ways.” (Prov. 2:12-15) [The wisdom of God will cause us to have a more prosperous and longer life!] “My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they WILL PROLONG YOUR LIFE many years and BRING YOU PEACE AND PROSPERITY.” (Prov. 3:1-2) [Did you ever think that good health will come to us as we trust and seek to obey the Lord?] “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in ALL YOUR WAYS submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil. THIS WILL BRING HEALTH TO YOUR BODY AND NOURISHMENT TO YOUR BONES.” (Prov. 3:5-8) [Oh I want to see Him, to look upon his face!] “Whoever has my commands AND KEEPS THEM is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and SHOW MYSELF TO THEM.” Then Judas (not Judas Iscariot) said, “But, Lord, why do you intend to show yourself to us and not to the world?” Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and WE WILL COME TO THEM AND MAKE OUR HOME WITH THEM.” (John 14:21-23)

Be blessed as you praise The Lord, knowing that JESUS WILL LOVE US AND SHOW HIMSELF TO US!
