i was listening to a critique on the biography of muhammed, written by Ibn Ishaq.. It was written almost 200 year after muhammed died, which is interesting enough, but Ibn Ishaq was a former christian and a slave of muslims and is the earliest biography of muhammed in history. He was a known plagiarist… Starting the biography, it includes a genealogy that goes all the way back to abraham. It then includes a star of muhammed to signify his birth in which jews are said to be in awe and see as a sign from God… the at the age of 12, he makes a trip to syria and talks to a christian monk, mimicking jesus’s pilgramage to jerusalem and talking to the scribes and priests. He then starts his ministry at the age of 30, like jesus and meets gabriel after fasting for 30 days like jesus’s fast in the wilderness. Both survive attempted assassination attempts by miracles, killed by a jewish person, etc…. constant mirrors of the gospels.
Check out the interview/critique and be blessed
