Today is the 110th anniversary of the North Cleveland Church of God, which was set in order on October 10, 1906. A.J. Tomlinson had moved to Cleveland, TN, in December 1904, and began holding services in a tent in May 1905. The congregation here is Family Day in 1930, during the time the Church was meeting in the General Assembly Auditorium. Often called the “mother church” of the denomination, today’s sanctuary seats more than 2,000.
