“Oh, you mean the science that only came about in the West because of the Christian belief in creation’s uniformity and predictability (as opposed to animistic chaos, capricious polytheism, Islamic determinism, or pantheistic spiritualization of nature)?

“You mean the science that was pioneered by monks, priests, and devout laymen who described themselves as ’thinking God’s thoughts after Him’?

“You mean the science put to use saving the weak and vulnerable only because Christianity convinced the Greco-Roman and Barbarian worlds that all people are made in the image of God and rightful objects of charity as Christ commanded?

“You mean the science that is to this day practiced by countless Christians who view their work as an extension of their faith and a vocation from God–a science often applied in life-saving treatments and therapies by Christians in religious hospitals around the world? Remind me again where all the atheist hospitals are.

“Cartoons like this remind me of petulant children who are clothed, sheltered, fed, educated and showered with toys through their parents’ benevolence asking what mom and dad have ever done for them. Utter foolishness.” Gregory Shane Morris

    This is really a matter of perspective and proof we all worship and believe in something. For the non-believer, science is their only hope because all they know is what they can see from a limited perspective of living in temporary, fallen world. For those who believe, we can see beyond what is temporary, and know what is eternal.

    If a disease comes and wipes out both a believer and non-believer, which is quite possible in a fallen world, the non-believer has no hope for what lies beyond this temporary place. But for the believer who puts has faith and knows Christ, we are already living an eternal life and have much more to look forward to that this dismal physical, temporary place. As such, COVID-19 can come and God will allow what He wills, and I have peace and assurance knowing my redeemer lives and reigns.

    If being alive is simply the result of chemical reactions, then what’s so grand about it ??‍♂️ if dying is just a part of the great natural selection, then why fight it?
    You can find the answers you want. And you can find the answers you need. Maybe it’s time to be uncomfortable and find the one’s you need.

    Salvation is not about science or religion. It is a choice every human has to make, either to become a child of the Living God or be rejected by Him on judgement day. This virus is a wake up call for those who have chosen the latter, there is still time to change your mind. But the Word of God says this, Hebrews 9:27, Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment. Joshua 24:15 And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell.     Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away.
    If you have not made the decision to be Born Again, now is the time, science will not save you nor will religion. Only Jesus can.

    The biggest thing about Christianity is that it’s not a center on religion but it’s centered around Jesus. Let’s make it less about religion and more about a relationship. You all argue and fight in here, we are called to witness Christ’s love. Stand up for what you believe in, but don’t argue till you are right. Let the Word do the talking

    The Black Death, also known as the Pestilence, the Great Bubonic Plague, the Great Plague or the Plague, or less commonly the Great Mortality or the Black Plague, was the most devastating pandemic recorded in human history, resulting in the deaths of an estimated 75 to 200 million people in Eurasia, peaking in Europe and was finally brought under control by good hygiene and common sense. If you have’nt noticed , we’ve polluted this earth beyond belief. Even now, as we speak, people are abandoning all common sense and partying and gathering together by the thousands. Governments are not prepared, doctors and nurses in the frontline don’t have proper protection. We have to pray to God for mercy, for the callous way in which we have treated this earth and it’s inhabitants.

    I love science, but it’s not science that’s going to save us it’s God that will ultimately save us. Science is not to be worshiped, it is an thing, a tool that can be used for good as well as evil. The use of science by evil men has been responsible for mass murder of people. Science have killed wildlife to extinction. Science has indirectly caused some viruses to morph into resistance of healing. God on the other hand have healed people who were afflicted with cancers created by scientifically created applications like asbestos. Science won’t save us but godly people using scientific advances can help a lot of humanity.

    Scientists get knowledge from providence. At the moment several scientists are breaking their heads for solution. Only God will choose some unknown person. Can any one guatentee that so and so will make it. It is only the Almighty’s Grace when it is bestowed.

    Ask yourself who were the ones running INTO the plague-filled towns when disease was killing half the population of Europe. Ask yourself why it’s called the “Red Cross.” And why half the world calls their nurses “Medical Sisters/Sisters of Medicine.” Christians lead the way in science, and they lead the way in compassion. When we stop serving in this manner we’re useless, and end up dragging the name of Jesus in the dirt.

    “God is in heaven; and does whatever he pleases”Psalm 115:3. If God truly wants a pandemic there is NOTHING science can do about it. We have no hope of restraining his rightly warranted wrath. Who do you think gives the scientist the wisdom necessary to come up with the cures. It doesn’t come out of a vacuum, but from the mind of God.

    You misunderstand the use of prayer. You can pray for breakthroughs in science. You can pray for peace.etc etc.
    Those of us who pray also use science. Its not either or.

    Actually it was (man science ) that got us where we are.
    You see, several years ago they discovered cov19 in nature..but they couldn’t call it cov 19 because it was naturally occurring in animals. So they extracted it . Tweaked it abit , applied for a patent, because they created a new virus, thus cov19 was made,
    So since they did that, well someone had to create a vaccine for the new virus, so someone somewhere applied for a patent on that. And they got it. Then the patsy sold it somehow without anyone knowing to china. So here we are.

    Science may provide a cure for the Coronavirus, and help us out of this situation, but even science and the people who engage in it are under GOD’s sovereignty,whether they believe in him or not. SO any answer that science has to any crisis we undergo on earth comes from God. Even So, Science will not save us from the ultimate and imminent Righteous Judgement that is to come.
