Is anyone here familiar with the Eucharist Miracle of Lanciano? Apparently it involved a communion wafer turning into flesh and blood. The blood is still preserved to this day.
There was research done back in the 70s to study the artifact. The flesh was the myocardium of a human heart, with an AB blood type (the same as blood found on other Christian relics like the Shroud of Turin).
The article can be found in the Sclavo notebooks for clinical and laboratory diagnostics. It is called “Histological, immunological and biochemiccal studies on the flesh and blood of the eucharistic miracle of Lanciano (8th century)”
