Prophetic Fulfillment is a Necessity :: By Rick Segoine

Yes, prophetic fulfillment of the biblical kind is not only inevitable but is also necessary.

The world cannot possibly survive without it. If Almighty God were to call the whole thing off in regard to biblical prophecy, all life on Earth would be obliterated. The earth would be left one step beyond the Road Warrior movies. Instead of just a handful of ragtag survivors with the coolest collection of macho vehicles fighting over whatever is left of the precious gasoline, there would be zero survivors. None at all, not even one survivor.

How do I know this? Two reasons.

One reason is just common sense based on knowledge of history combined with observation of how evil operates.

The other reason is much more powerful.

It is because Jesus Himself said so.

Some might ask, when did He say that?

These are the words Jesus spoke to some of His disciples when detailing the sequence of end-times events that would transpire in the seven-year Tribulation period.

In Matthew 24:22, Jesus says this: “In fact, unless that time of calamity is shortened, not a single person will survive. But it will be shortened for the sake of God’s chosen ones.”

Prophetic fulfillment, according to the Will of God, is necessary, according to the Son of God, to prevent the planet Earth from becoming 100% desolate without even one single surviving human person left to tell how the tragic story of humanity came to its self-inflicted violent end.

According to Jesus, mankind is perfectly capable of complete self-destruction.

How would this complete self-destruction be brought about?

Through the unleashing of viral pandemics created in laboratories would be one way. Labs like the ones in China, Ukraine, and North Carolina, for example.

Another way might be through purposely induced mass starvation by controlling every aspect of the food chain.

Or, of course, nuclear war.

Or, a combination of these and other various despicable ways to mass murder the populace of the planet Earth.

Because of the fact that all biblical prophecy will be fulfilled, however, Satan and his minions, who are possessed by his evil spirit, will be stopped short of total destruction by Jesus Himself when He returns to Earth at His Second Coming.

Revelation 1:7 informs us that “every eye shall see Him.”

“Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory” (Matthew 24:31).

“For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so shall the coming of the Son of Man be” (Matthew 24:27).

Enoch, in the first biblical prophecy made specifically about the second advent of Jesus, put it this way according to Jude 1:14-15:

“Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousand of His saints to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and all of the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.”

“And out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations” (Revelation 19:15).

Stop and think for a minute and know that if Jesus, the Son of God, who is also known as the Son of Man, did not do these things, the alternative would come down to this: “No flesh would be saved.”

Yes, it is true that during the Seven-year Tribulation which is also known as “The time of Jacob’s Trouble” and “The 70th Week of Daniel,” many people will die (Revelation 6:7-8).

They will die either by way of one of the devil’s many methods of murder including decapitation for refusing the mark of the beast (antichrist), or by the hand of God as the seals spoken of in the Book of Revelation are opened to pour out the wrath of God upon a world that has descended into wickedness on a level that equals that of the days of Noah leading up to the flood.

Genesis 6:5 puts it this way in regard to the time of Noah: “The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time.”

But thanks to Jesus shortening those days for the sake of the elect, like Noah and his family, not everyone will die. Millions of wicked people will die, but there will be flesh saved.

God has a beautiful plan (see 1 Corinthians 2:9) for all who love Him, and He is not going to let that plan be ruined by the self-destructive nature of Satan and all of his reprobate minions who are stupid enough to follow Satan along his path of destruction and eventually down into the fiery lake.

There is no doubt about it: the second coming of Jesus Christ to planet Earth is not just inevitable but also a necessity.

We should not only pray that the Will of God be done, but we should also be very thankful that it actually and truly is His Will being done.

God’s Will being done will lead to endless short-term as well as long-term blessings, whereas if Satan’s will were to be done, that would lead to heartbreaking misery, oblivion, and eternal separation from God.

Praise God that His perfect Will is going to prevail.

And prevail He will, not just here on Earth, but also through all of eternity.

Hold on, dear friends of Jesus. Keep trusting in Him and embracing His every wonderful promise.

“Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come on the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth” (Revelation 3:10).

Shalom in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
