Good Friday, April 7, 2023 | 15 Days

The reinstatement of sin would lead inevitably to the revival or reassertion of personal responsibility. In fact the usefulness of reviving sin is that responsibility would be revived with it.

__Stott, John. The Cross of Christ

Have you noticed how many mistakes people make?

They…

  • Dropped the ball
  • Stumbled
  • Goofed
  • Made a blunder, a miscalculation or misjudgment.

And if they’re willing to admit it, we step up and forgive them, for after all, we all have feet of clay and make mistakes and none of us are perfect.

But when’s the last time you heard someone say, “I sinned.”

When’s the last time you heard someone say, “I made a deliberate choice to go against the will of God and did what I wanted to do, no matter who it hurt and no matter that it was a snub against my Creator.”

The ONE THING for today: There’s a huge difference between a mistake and a sin and that’s why there’s a huge difference between Good Friday and the other 51 Fridays of the year.
