I pray that this finds you and your family well. God has been working in my life, our family, and ministry powerfully and faithfully. We have our struggles but we know God is great and trust Him to do what is best. Leading a family, home, and church is not easy but its a true joy and privilege to have such great responsibilities. The church is growing in many ways. New people are coming every week and slowly but surely people are committing to a life following Jesus. We are blazing trails and entering into new frontiers this year.

I want to share with you a challenging ministry opportunity that God has presented to me. The Lord has put it on our hearts as a church to Storm This City. That is our missions and outreach ministry focus. Whether it be in our backyard of Elmont, or a city in the USA, or a country in Central America, we want to Storm This City with love, compassion, and truth. As part of that initiative, from August 2nd – August 9th I will be going to Guatemala with a team from my church, FCOG Community Worship Service (CWS). This 1 week mission trip we will be reaching out and spreading the gospel to the people of Guatemala while also learning more about their culture.

While God has opened up a door for me to develop a greater heart of compassion for His people around the world, the exciting part is that you will be able to share in this compassion in several ways. First, you can help pray for me and my team. We will need prayers that God will prepare our team for our visit and bless our efforts as we minister to the people of Guatemala. We will be ministering to children, adults, women who are working in the red light district, and other things. We are going to need a lot of prayer. So the most important way you can partner with me, is through prayer.

I will also need prayers that our financial needs will be met. Another way you can be involved is to help provide that financial support. At this time we need to raise $1,000 each to attend this trip, and that is quite a challenge!

I am excited about the opportunity to serve and to minister, and I ask you to join me in ministry. I am seeking your support and prayers for this mission trip. If you are able to assist with this trip, a quick and easy way to help support would be by clicking this link: Donate Here

As you go through the Paypal process and you click “Review Donation and Continue” the next page will give you an option to “ADD MEMO FOR DONATION” Please add following line: “Storm This City” to make sure that the money goes for me and this missions trip

I look forward to participating in this Kingdom work in Guatemala and I can’t wait to share with you how God used us when I return. God bless you!

Enjoy The Ride,

Cecil

Freedom (Romans 6)   “I’m tired of hiding who I Really am,” he says. And runs in, Arms flailing, head down, free Way down in his mind. They clap, Who stand along the bars. Their Ebullient words echo off The cage—dampened by metal.   He clanks and scrapes the chain snaked Around his ankle. “Now, I’m […]

I struggle not so much with the chaos of the world as I do with how to reshape the world. My life must count beyond this life. I know it matters. I know there is an eternal world just thinly veiled beyond my walk. The veil solicits me to poke holes in it so the […]

2 Corinthians 3:17, Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

2 Timothy 1:6, 7, For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands, for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.

As the Holy Spirit begins to work in a deeper way in you, the first calling that is placed on your life is the calling of surrender. We know that we must surrender our lives to Jesus in order to be saved, but we often miss that we must continue to surrender our lives to the Holy Spirit. The fear of surrender pushes us inward instead of upward. In our spiritual lives, fear causes us to focus on ourselves (which results in timidity) instead of putting our focus on Jesus (which results in freedom).

So, when Paul tells Timothy to “fan into flame the gift of God,” I hear: Let go of your fear, and put your full attention on Jesus.

The price is too steep to miss out because of fear. He will pour out His Spirit on me if I will let go of my fear, and put my attention on Him.

So often, in the Bible, when God would call someone to His purpose for them, He would remind them of this truth. Stepping out is scary, but He calls out: Do not be afraid. Focus on Me. You can do more through the power of My Spirit than you think you can.

To Joshua, the Lord spoke: Do not be afraid, Be strong, Be courageous, I will be with you just as I was with Moses before you. As you serve the Lord by ministering to others – in the church, at home or work – sometimes it feels like you’re walking into a battle. But He’s saying to you, Let go of your fear, put your attention on Me, and My Spirit will empower you to accomplish all I have called you to do.

To Mary, the Lord spoke: Do not be afraid. For this child is God With Us. As the Lord begins to birth a desire in you for an outpouring of His Spirit in your life, He declares to you – Do not be afraid. Of what people will think. Of what you’ll look like. Of where I’ll take you. Put your attention on Me, and My Spirit will bring rivers of living water into your life!
To Peter, in the boat, Jesus declared: Do not be afraid. Step out on the water and come to Me. God is preparing you for an outpouring. But He declares that you must step out in order to for His Spirit to be poured out.
Let go of your fear, and put your attention on Jesus.

If you have been following the ministry, you’ve most likely heard that I just released a new prophetic book that is only offered through the ministry entitled Deciphering End Time Prophetic Codes. I wanted to post a small excerpt from this book that I feel is very important. If you have not already, I highly recommend you pick up a copy of this book (BK-007) either from our website or at the resource table at meetings.

Daughters of Rachel, As we continue learning about prayer, know that when you enter into intercession, you are embracing what men call foolish and weak. God has chosen to use the things that men consider as weak to triumph over the things that men consider wise and mighty. God will use those who embrace the so called “weakness” of praying, fasting, giving, serving, and suffering persecution to triumph over human wisdom and might. God has chosen the (so called) foolish things of the world to pu…
