Praise Cathedral Welcomes The Sheppard Family
I am pleased to announce to you that Pastor Wayne Sheppard has accepted the position of Student Pastor of Praise Cathedral. Pastor Wayne comes with over fifteen years of experience as a Student Pastor and has a great heart and spirit for student ministry.
His present student ministry in Fyffe Alabama has seen great success including developing a 525-seat Student Center, National Teen Talent Winners, and a strong program of discipleship.
Pastor Wayne's ministry is complemented by his wife, Ginger, who has written many youth dramas, including the David and Goliath drama performed by our students. They have two children, Greyson and Tyler, who are looking forward to connecting with new friends at Praise. We expect the Sheppard's arrival in mid-November.
Replacing a student pastor the caliber of Pastor Lee is no easy task. His accomplishments here are "off the chart" and his ministry impact will be long felt in our church and community. I want to offer my thanks to the Youth Staff members and the Church Council who assisted me in this nationwide search. I believe the Lord's Faithfulness and our diligence is going to continue to bring great blessings to our Student Ministry.
