It isn’t right for anyone to tell lies. The politician should repent and if it was a public lie apologize publicly. But remember we all fall short and we must extend grace to others. If this is habitual then I would be sure I wasn’t voting for him/her.
your adjective “right” is referring to the subject “lies”. if you think of it carefully, even your not a politician, being a child of God, you can answer it on your own. Even Paul says that “all things are lawful for me but all things are not expedient nor edifies not.
When is it ever appropriate to sin? Never!
Whaaaat?!?! I hold that every time we lie or give a false impression we are trusting the father of lies rather our Heavenly Father.
No
A lie is bearing a false witness.
It’s wrong for Christians to tell lies… Period!
Worded another way: “Is is right for a Christian to tell lies?” Or “Is it right to tell lies?” The answer is “No”. Exodus 20:16 “Thou shalt not bear false witness…” meaning, we shall not say something thing that is not true. We should not lie or be deceptive. Our Heavenly Father is honest and true, so we should be the same.
No

Every politician is a human in disguise.. we all might miss the mark sometimes, but that doesn’t make it okay.
It’s not “right” (moral) for anyone to tell lies at any time…
is it rite for a christian to sin? Theres your answer.
God expects to work faithfully and truthfully.
Many thanks to you all for your commets.
In Political Science, I think its important for a Politician to tell lies. But as Abraham Lincoln and other famous American leaders have shown, its also important to tell the truth. I think the Truth has many dimensions.
