If there was no time or space until God created them, where was God if there was no space? for man we need to be in a space before we can even produce anything in a space. Where was God?

If there was no space yet, the question “where” is meaningless. If there was no time yet, the question “when” is meaningless. God is just Himself, He doesn’t need time and space to exist
-
God is not defined by or bound to time space or matter
-
Your argument is based on the assumption that God has to be somewhere in terms of physicality to exist

2 Timothy 2:23 King James Version (KJV)
23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes. -
You have a very small view of God
-
He was in Himself.
And don’t compare God to us, cause we are but mere dirt compared to Him. -
He is from everlasting to everlasting

Put it into the context of your mobile phone. The programmer of your phone is not affected by the parameters of the phone. He is not limited to the volume settings of the phone or the brightness. Yet he can influence the phone. That is God with our universe. He is not affected by time, space or matter that makes everything so.

God is spirit, a non corporeal entity. He does not need a space, because He is spaceless, timeless.
-
Our space was created for us. It didn’t need to exist to house Him. He lives in a different realm.
He is not limited by time, space, or matter like we are. -
A question that will only be revealed at death and in the age to come. If God saw it necessary for us to know He would have specifically told us
-
God is Spirit! Spirit doesn’t need time or space.
-
God is not made of space, time or matter!! He is above our human understanding. All we need to know and believe is that He created us and sent Jesus to teach us, die for us and save us for eternity.
-
Realize we cannot think outside of time and space. Where God was and did we cannot comprehend. He is eternal and He has always been, I AM.
-
Great question. We define existence of a god and simply move the question of existence to another entity that we imagine!
-
I love this question and all of your answers (minus a couple). My children have asked this question and now I have more detailed ways to answer them! Thank you!?

There was no where or when before God created time and space. God is sovereign over and independent of both.

In the beginning ( time ) God created the heavens ( space )and the earth ( matter )….All of these properties exist within him and nothing is outside of him. He.has to use time, space and to make it necessary for to exist in a realm inside and capped.by time…thru this he demonstrates that everything created is not eternal…everything exists inside of himself who outside of time and is eternal. Just like a fish who has no vantage point of how big the ocean is because he cannot exist outside of it…we have no vantage point of gauging how big God is because just like the fish cannot exist outside of the ocean, we cannot exist outside of God…17 28 says ‘ in him we live, in him we move and in him we have our being ‘

Isaiah 57:15

From eternity to eternity thou art God

Just the Trinity by Themselves!

It is evident that the designers and engineers of a computer do not live within the computer. Short answer: outside of time, space and matter.
-
Man must be in space. God is not man. No problem.
-
God is everything he takes up all space. It is hard to comprehend by human standards. I have read an interesting idea, God created a space within himself sort of like an inhaled breath and in that space he breathed out and this is where the cosmos was created.
-
God is outside of space and time. These things…space/time…were created by God to serve him. If God were constrained by space and time, then he would not be God at all. The Divine name he was known by to Moses was the “I AM”. Which means “the ever present One”.
-
have faith all things, are possible with God
-
God is not physical, so time and space do not need to apply to Him. He is, therefore, outside time and space.
-
He was where he has always been in eternity he always was and always will be.

Koinonia On You Tube has some good lectures on this topic too. Also, lectures & articles from Institute for Creation Research, “Yet even more amazing (and the universe is amazing) is the historic fact that the Creator-God, after purposefully creating the time-space-matter universe, chose to enter it in the God-human person of Jesus Christ—for the sole purpose of providing a means by which humanity could have a personal relationship with the Creator.” ?
-
God isn’t constrained by space time or matter… he created space time and matter, so he was always there
-
God is not something material. He is neyond space Time and matter
-
Compared to the cosmic, omnipotent reality of a Creator God wisely understood as the Ancient of Days, we’re pretty much dots on a page with zero depth perception.
-
Where was God?
God is everything outside of time, space and matter and engulfs everything. He’s eternal. God wasn’t IN a location, everything is in Him…

Please do yourself a favor and don’t try to envision God through the eyes and limitations of humans. We may need to be someplace in order to do something and if you feel like He has to be somewhere, then His “somewhere” is EVERYWHERE.
God’s “somewhere” that He needs to be in order to get things done is EVERYWHERE.
There is no place that He is NOT.
-
God doesn’t need space because he is Spirit.
-
Space and time are properties of matter. Obviously, since God is spirit He is not limited by the laws of physics.
-
Psalm 90:2 “Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever You had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God.”
-
“If all the people in Minecraft needed the program to exist, where was the programmer before he created Minecraft?”
-
God is not bound by his creation. He is outside of Time, Space and Matter
-
You can’t be in space and also creating space. God is not bound by the physical.
-
God is spaceless, timeless and immaterial
-
Consider that within God are where Space and Time exist.
-
Not needing time
-
Best explanation I’ve heard:
Genesis Chapter 1 says:
“In the beginning (that’s time), God created the heavens (thats space) and the earth (thats matter).”
All three have to come into existence at the same time you can’t have one without the other. Watch the above video someone commented about God and the creation. You will greatly enjoy it.

The more you dwell on such a deep question like this, the more likely you are going to give yourself severe headaches.

The God who creatd all things is not the God the needed space to existe. Is so, somebody or something might have created that space for Him at the first place. But He needed to leve outside the space in order to creat it. So He was always the before all things and everything was created. He is not a God of space nor in space.
-
God is outside of time and space. Space and time does not affect Him. We get old and die, consumed by time. God is outside and controls our space and time.

The theory of relativity, as much as I understand it, says that the closer you come to reaching the speed of light the slower time passes. Thus, Einstein theorized that a man traveling near the speed of light could leave the earth, and return within a year to find that a baby born at the time of his departure is now an old man. Something to that effect. So the theory of relativity is summed up in this: when you reach the speed of light time stands still. What do we know about God. He is light. “This is the message which we have heard of Him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in Him is no darkness.” “But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin.” 1 John 1:5-7
-
When we see Jesus we will find ourselves in the light, where time stands still. This is our eternity.
