As a former atheist I lived by this principle; Without the boundaries of a higher power beyond the standard of our own, there’s no reason to succumb to the self righteous opinions of others..

Atheists, by the source of their philosophy have no justified reason to believe in morality, if we’re no more than biological makeup, and our existence is purely materialistic than morals, emotions, relationships, ideas, existence in itself are meaningless byproducts that will eventually be weeded out by natural selection during the “process of evolution”

There’s no reason to not pollute the environment, there’s no reason to not murder someone, there’s no reason to not be a selfish, sadistic, cold hearted person..

All that’s good from atheists morality comes from Judeo Christian tradition of which founded our nation and established the freedoms, laws, and morality of western civilization.
The very standard they hold against God they learned from God; this standard being the foundation of everything they know is right and wrong, and the more they rebel against God’s moral law the further and further the world drifts into lawlessness and the very “fruits of their way” they’ll eat if God is ever completely out of the picture..
Proverbs 1:28-31
Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:
For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the Lord:
They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof.
Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.

Trust me friends, if you manage to push God completely out of the west, or the world; the fruits of atheism, and Godlessness aren’t as sweet as the fruits of Christian morality… I pray you never have to taste how bitter, and rotten that fruit will be.

    ..Do you feel that
    the True God of
    Abraham showed
    us the way to True
    Salvation by the
    Teachings of His
    Only Son Our
    Lord Jesus Christ
    that not only Sins
    Committed
    in the Flesh need to
    be Confessed and
    Repented of but
    Even Thinking of
    or Desiring a Sin
    Needs to Be
    Confessed and
    Repented because
    your guilty even if
    you just think it.

Then an atheist says “well then it’s society that should set the standards for us to follow” asbhe watches political and police corruption on the news.

They can try but can’t ground what there claiming

Well, there’s a lot more -faith (but it’s not really faith)- to believe in something scientists can only hypothesize about – evolution.

Is this the OP’s way of letting us know that thanks to God he’s a well behaved sociopath?

  8. Duncan Macpherson says:

I am not an atheist but if I were, I would answer that I am human and I perceive other humans as like me. Harming them would be undermining my own humanity, polluting the water from the only well in the village. Because they are like me, I must seek their good.
As a Christian, there is a greater depth to my humanism. I must seek the good of others because they are created in God’s image and because I believe that Christ died for them. This opens up a breakthrough morality. Because I am forgiven, I can forgive not just seven times, but seventy seven times!

    Very well put

what a typical atheist would say is ” by the common moral code of the Land.” it’s a dumb argument though…and has flaws

    Incarceration

You don’t need belief in god to have empathy.

  13. Paul Gray says:

Using history as an example the nations that were led by leaders with atheist philosophy of survival of the fittest were the most brutal and ruthless in recorded history. Advances in science and technology become a powerful means to destroy more of the “inferior ” classes. Where as Christian nations were a deterrent to evil and at the forefront of medical sciences, which ignorant atheist claim responsibility for. Even in this while Christianity is responsible for eliminating things like slavery we have rejected the truth and believed the lie. Since the 50s when faith in God began to be eliminated from curriculums in the schools suicide , drug use, alcoholism , unwanted pregnancies have skyrocketed. Empathy is becoming a thing of the past where the carnal natural brute or the adamic nature takes pleasure in others suffering. More and more cases of elderly and child abuse are uncovered and racism is on the rise.

But without God, it leaves anyone to do what they think is right in their own eyes which brings chaos. Who says whose stand is right. Who enforces it. Why would one’s standard be worse or better than any other’s standards?

Jeffrey Dahmer accepted Jesus in jail before he was killed. Goes to show you, there’s hope for everyone

  16. Caleb Keaton says:

Didn’t he give his life to Christ in the end?

  17. Ken Green says:

Morality comes from God. There is no basis for right or wrong to an atheist. Anything goes, as long as you can get away with it. A world full of atheists would be like a world full of psychopaths.

  18. Ava Reyes says:

I don’t owe Jeffrey Dahmer any explanations, and according to your religious beliefs, Jeffrey Dahmer is in heaven.
