Did any one get a chance to watch CoG’s FAITH MATTERS by former GO Mark Williams and Dr. Steve Land, in particular, Episode 29 that deals with CoG’s Declaration of Faith, Article 6 that gives the CoG formal statement regarding the Doctrine of Sanctification? Personally, this was my observation – (1) Mark Williams posed some very excellent questions; however, (2) Dr. Steve Land gave very poor answers, or basically in fact, he gave no real answers at all. I assume that Dr. Land has no real understanding of the Doctrine of Sanctification as a second, definite work of grace, which is the CoG stated position. In summary, I was very disappointed in Dr. Land’s responses to Mark Williams’ questions. What do you think?

  1. Gary Uphold says:

The declaration of faith states:In speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance and that it is the initial evidence of the baptism of the Holy Ghost. What is the scriptural evidence of one who is sanctified but not baptized with the Holy Spirit?

When and how did the CoG establish Article 6 ?

  3. The CoG developed the DOF in 1948 to prevent a split in the CoG regarding the Doctrine of Sanctification, which nearly occurred at the CoG GA in 1944.
