My response to the TN CoG Camp Meeting service. Sorry, but I am posting something negative; however, I believe that a negative statement is permitted in this forum. Regarding the TN Camp Meeting, I did not enjoy the CoG’s young people’s singing. I absolutely did not like the way they were dressed and moving about on the platform of the church service. To me, it was a total disgrace to God Almighty. Something that I cannot understand is the fact that many churches fail in teaching their young people about the power of God, the deep moves of the Holy Ghost, about fasting and prayer, and about godly living. I believe statistics would reveal that there is little, if any, difference today between many of our young people and those who do not attend church when it comes to sin and the world. This results in the shame of every local church. So sad, especially when we are living on the brink of the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

  1. I say a big AMEN to the statment about the way the young lady was dressed that led the Praise and Worship along with some of the rest…I grew up in the Church of God in Marietta Ga. many years ago…No comparison….

  2. That was probably just as true when you were a teenager yourself, you just didn’t know it at the time.

  3. Nothing wrong with her dress.

  4. Omg she showed her shoulder gasp!! I grew up in cog years ago also and it was YESTERDAY this is now. It is what comes out that is bad not your dress. That is pure legally at its worst. Tell me is she saved? Can the Holy Spirit use her calling to get people saved? Then we need to stop majoring on minors. This is what runs everyone of us off! If you could see the attitude on here how lowlife and repulsive the young people are and how holy we are because of our dress and praise, making fun of the Holy Spirit! Ugg we ALL need to repent of judgmentalism and let Holy Spirit do his job. Thank God this attitude is a small minority now. If you can’t support the leadership then it’s time to leave. If it were me I’d say the same. Don’t let the “open forum” become a gossip column because I do like having a good place to talk not snipe.

it was a shameful display and it is not her fault but the fault of the leadership to allow it. Obviously everyone are afraid of offending someone.

Yes she is saved and that adds to the problem! If she was unsaved would she be there?

Yes if she was in a bikini she could minister in the anointing but that does not mean we let women wear bikinis.

  6. Apple and oranges was not shameful in least. We’re jeans ripped? Was anything exposed? Then why attack this young minister who is doing what the leadership allowed. If you honestly equate a bikini with her modest attire really?

  7. I find it odd that grown men are regularly obsessed with what young women are wearing.

  8. Charles Page says:

Jackson, you never watched the worship service. She had tight fitting jeans that left nothing to the imagination.

  9. That’s why I asked you the questions I did

  10. Charles Page says:

Jimmy, you are not a grown man yet – just wait and see what grown men are obsessed with. Ask Jackson, he’ll tell you!

  11. If she had really tight jeans she should have put a wrap on

  12. Now before Julie I won’t admit

  13. And all the jumping and dancing. Reminded me of some rock and heavy metal that I seen on television. You could understand it better if you saw a video instead of a pic.

  14. I think it’s called joy over the fact that they realize God loves them.

  15. If we are going to call out girls for their dresses or lack thereof, can we start calling out all the ordained bishops in the church of God with double chins? I mean, fair is fair.

  16. You should get down on your knees and thank God this girl wearing skinny jeans wasn’t a fatty.

  17. Charles Page says:

If an old man is comfortable with that kind of worship leader he needs to check his sanctification maybe it is him lacking holiness!!!

Doesn’t matter if he is a AB or EB he lacks holiness if he is approving that kind of worship leadership!!

To blame us “old men” or this open forum is to distract from the real issue.

  18. Perhaps that’s why most ministers wear suits? To hide their guts. And their wives wear dresses, because they need to hide the fact they’ve enjoyed the buffet line too many unholy times.

  19. Hey hey back off the double chin! And as much as I do agree with the fat statement it is way off topic

  20. It’s actually quite on topic.

  21. And no , one deals with holiness the other with getting older and being rude.
