I was ask a good question by someone i highly respect in ministry. “What do you expect from the church?” Can you give me your answer? I want to see if my answer line up with the word of God

The church, being the body of Christ, should be committed to each other as a family. Holding each other up in prayer, helping each other in time of need, loving each other, admonishing in love.

To be taught the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

I stated i expect spiritual growth. I do not see where a person can grow if you find yourself among disorder and confusion. Am i being self righteous? i have not always been a perfect servant,but i honor God and

I don’t expect anything from the church, I am to give back to God

If you want to be reminded of sin weekly, don’t go to church. Find the nearest temple. Or a mosque. Or a synagogue.
Therefore for me, I expect the church to remind me I am righteous because of the cross. -

Oh my. As someone who’s currently a pastor at a church, we expect too much from our pastors. Sometimes I think we just need to accept church for what it is and be grateful.

The local church is to follow the church every Sunday there will be the preacher which hold his sermon for one hour listen what he says in that hour when the sermon is done you will be more confuse then before

The church isn’t the building it’s the people, about time you accepted it, the church building only serves in holding a venue to meet, the church people ought to be outward focussed, focussed on others instead.
All of our purposes is to glorify God in whatever ministry God has called us to

???imagine if everyone during this time took their tithes and offerings and used it to do good to others, showing the love of Christ to others in need believers and non believers alike instead of supporting buildings and structures….. if every single person actively spread the word of God through social media etc ?????… instead of tuning in for once a week online meetings to fill the void, just a thought…… ???

I expect spiritual comprehension of our Lord God then magnitude follows. It is not at all useful for the church of our Lord God grow in magnitude but lack in comprehension of our Lord God.
