Just came across the post today from one of my FB friends:

Shared post ~
Tonight…I ran across the FB page of a guy who attended Lee University (a Christian college…a Church of God, Cleveland, TN institution) when I was also a student.
Once leaving Lee, this young man “came out of the closet”…announcing that he was indeed a homosexual.
With the Supreme Court ruling regarding gay marriage opening the flood gates of apostasy…I was not surprised to find a picture of this former Lee University student celebrating his recent “marriage” to his gay lover…as the picture of two male hands touching while wearing matching wedding rings was displayed prominently on his page.
Noticing a very high number of “Likes” and comments under the picture…I clicked on it to discover something startling:
Many Lee University students from my era joined in “Liking” the post…even offering their “Congratulations!” and more in the comment section below.
One offering a congratulatory sentiment was a former Professor of Lee University…having served as the Dean of one of its most prominent departments.
I admit:
I am shocked…saddened…perplexed…and a bit angry.

  5. Wow. This doesn’t shock me now with all going on in this world today

  6. It is still an abomination no matter who likes or approves it God’s Word doesn’t change.

  7. This is sad! We must stand up for the gospel! If we don’t, we will stand accountable. We hate the sin not the person. God can deliver them if they ask!! Praying for our nation and Christians to take a stand!! God Bless and let us find find a altar and pray, pray, pray!!!

The Word of God does not change just because people do…A Child of God hates the sin of homosexuality yet loves the sinner! It’s an abomination to God!

WHERE IS THE PREACHER?????? WHERE ARE THE BISHOPS? The SILENCE IS DEAFENING!!!!!!!! And that , dear friends, is the problem.

  10. Charles Page says:

What preacher in Cleveland addressed the problem? Was there a sermon at the prestigious North Cleveland Church of God dealing with this problem?

  11. Charles Page says:

Let me be clear on this: homosexual activity is an abomination in the eyes of the Lord.

Lee University is in the set mode for diversity when it finally has to decide the gay tolerance issue. It is just a matter of time. I hope this is not a reflection of the COG. so goes the university so goes the denomination.

Emma Liem, Lee Clarion Editor-in-chief Oct 23, 2015 is openly anti-Trump (not within itself a problem) and LGBTQ tolerant. followed her twitter account at the time of the above mentioned article about Paul Conn’s view on homosexuality: no condemnation no compromise.

1Ki_17:24 And the woman said to Elijah, Now by this I know that thou art a man of God, and that the word of the LORD in thy mouth is truth.

“By this”. By what? He had just prayed and YEHOVAH had restored the life of this woman’s child. She was smart enough to discern that only a true man of YEHOVAH could do this, and therefore the words of HIS mouth must be TRUE. I’m saying that if you don’t raise up the dead, that you’re not a man of YEHOVAH. But there surely must be fire shut up in your bones, and rock solid TRUTH pouring from your lips. Earth shaking truth. Heart trembling TRUTH!

Jer 23:21 I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.
Jer 23:22 But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.

  15. It is sickening, it breaks my heart, but I promise you in their hearts they know that it’s wrong….it is sin, it always has been, it always will be!
