Never go to worldly sources to know about God.
The bible has all the information you need.
The Spirit of God will lead you unto all truth, Rely on Him.
The Spirit of God reveals God to us and makes God real to us.
The world does not know God so we cannot rely on any books they write about God…
The best way to seek God is through prayer, reading His word, listening to sermons by men and women of God, praise and worship and reading books written by genuine men and women of God…

This is not true, although it sounds nice in theory. God has given us people who have studied, and uncovered many things that we can benefit from. Archeology helps us know the places in the Bible. But theology gives us a stronger basis for understanding and loving God. Education is not wrong or unbiblical. Paul was a great scholar. His knowledge of Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic (probably Latin) meant God chose him to write many of the epistles in the NT. Understanding Greek has helped me understand God’s word, and I had teachers to help me.
God tells us to study the Bible. I did that faithfully on my own for 25 years. I learned more about God and the Bible in my first year of seminary. Education can be a crash course in the Bible. God expects us to know his word, and that is aided by directed study under people who have also studied to show themselves approved.
All my seminary profs were international missionaries for many years. They were wonderful examples of irenic and kind people, who had PhDs, and truly followed Jesus.
