Just because you’re right or left doesn’t make you a racist. To answer the question, no. Love your neighbor. All darkness will come to light. But first you have to define and answer what makes a racist. Some may be passionate about their views. I choose to follow the Jesus party and what he has spoken.

To truthfully answer the question you have to define in what you mean by “racist”. This term has evolved to several different definitions in the last several decades. In the original definition I believe that you can’t be a Christian and be racist though! The statement that confounds me is,” You have to love someone, but you don’t have to like them!” Is not like a lesser emotion of love? To love someone do you not have to like them first? Lord help me! This is a hard one to explain!

Unfortunately, the term “racist” has come to mean being opposed to anything liberal. You can have countless minority friends, marry an immigrant and appoint intelligent people of all races to prominent positions, and still be called racist. Yet if your a liberal, you can be caught multiple times on a hot Mike using racial slurs and even be a member Of the KKK and no one bats an eye.
As far as being saved however, unfortunately being saved doesn’t Completely eliminate our sin nature until we are on the other side of eternity. If we’re honest with ourselves, there are a whole lot of anti Sematic people in American churches. If every single one of these people are not truly saved, then heaven is not going to have many familiar faces. It is my hope that as a person grows spiritually, they will leave these false ideas behind.

Noone who is a real Christian can be a racist. But ignorance and fear are very much possible. This is why one of the gifts of the Spirit is Teach and Preach. The children of God still need to be educated. We must all get rid of our prejudice and open up to eachother with love. However we must also not be naive that the enemy wants to divide us to conquer. Black and brown people can’t blame today’s generations of whites for what their ancestors did. Whites must be taught history. I blame this on education. As a former teacher, parents and a very liberal education system is to blame for brainwashing our children to hate and demand some kind of retribution. Also for teaching a one sided history of slavery. Slavery still happens today arround the world in different forms. Gangs are also a form of slavery. They persuade and then force their members to commit crimes even to their own people and family.
Let us all live in the Freedom Jesus gave us freedom not to indulge in the desires of the flesh but in honoring God in us, loving one another with Agape love edifying one another. We must also rebuke those who push hateful agendas of all kinds. We must stop blaming a persons but sin itself holding eachother accountable. We must also learn to forgive. We must know that people make choices, some good and some bad. Being racist is a choice. People act that way because they have been taught to do that but they are also doing it because of their own volition. Weust stevie to value a person by the contents of their character and not by the color of their Skin. I think Martin Luther King is the one who said this. As Hispanic I am grateful to MLK and all the heroes of the civil rights movement both black and white because they opened doors to people of all ethnicities. But I kid you not. Even within my own Hispanics there is much misinformation and sin. We must rid ourselves of the blemishes in our culture that divide us. But we must also detect expose and reject the false narratives pushed to keep dividing us.

Can’t believe so many say no. People can be in error and still be Christian. Being racist is an unchristian attitude, but many of us have an attitude in error in some form or another. I have a hard time seeing how a Christian can support abortion, but I’m still not willing to outright insist they can’t be a Christian.

If they know that it is wrong and they continue to do it I would say no. However it is debatable whether “mens rea” comes into play here or not. Hypothetical here – say that in the future through technology we found out that plants have some sort of higher conscience of being and value. Could we hold the people before this was discovered accountable for killing and eating them as being wrong?(Obviously not true just an example)
Also, race is not mentioned in the Bible. The only place you can make the argument for race is that we are all descendants of adam which would make us all the same race.

We are not Christian because we are perfect. All have fallen and come short of the glory of God. There is none righteous, no not one. We are sinners even after we are saved by the blood of Jesus. It’s just that we now are covered by the blood of Jesus.
Racism is sin like all others. Even when saved man still sins. But we should spend time with God in prayer and in His Spoken Word. When we do, we are able to fight those temptations with the strength of God, if we go to Him with them.
So yes, just as an alcoholic is always an alcoholic, we are always sinners. We just need to let God heal and change our hearts to be closer to what He sees after we are saved, Jesus and His precious blood that now covers us. -

My niece stopped talking to me almost 4 years ago because I voted for Trump. She called me a rasist…lol.
I voted for Trump because he wasn’t for abortion…that’s why I voted for him.
I find it disturbing that so many Christians are accusing other Christians of being racist for voting for Trump while they have no problem voting foe politicians who favor abortion.

So if you ask the question are Christians fallen in sin, the answer is yes. Everyone of us.
But if we truly seek after God’s own heart we will try to sanctify ourselves. After all in Christ we are a new creation. And if we love Christ we will keep his command. So whatever the sin. Repent and ask for forgiveness, because if you ask He is faithful and just and will forgive you.
And ask, is being racist loving your neighbor as you love yourself?

The next important steps is for the new believer to allow the Holy Spirit to transform from racism, a long list of various wrong ways, hate, horrible issues, towards Christ’s ways through the Holy Spirit. If a prisoner in prison gets saved, the sanctification process is going to be longer and more difficult than a 13 year old at Christian Summer camp. Discipleship, prayer, change of friendships from bad to great Christian friendships quicken the pace. The individual believer has to count the cost for swimming against the current of evil, racism, etc. The cost can range from nothing to ostracizing, to prison to death as in the Muslim culture.

Well racial stereotypes do not grow in a vacuum they are actually taken from reality and then they are over broadly applied. And the only people that I personally know that claim to be bible-believing Christians and to be racist are a couple black guys. I don’t know any white people that do that. I’ve had black people come to nearly all white church and no one gives it a second thought I’ve been the white guy in all black church and felt the eyes boring holes through the back of my head and my back and giving me disgusting looks so my experience personally and you can take from it whatever it’s worth to you is that most Prejudice inside the church comes from black people towards white people.

I believe it is impossible to be a Christian and an racist, however I believe they are miss interpreted often. I want to add that it is also impossible to be a Christian and condone murder. It doesn’t matter if you have a right to commit murder (abortion) or engage in needless wars.

In the US yes it’s possible. The KKK considers themselves a Christian organization. As does Westboro, amongst many others. And people seem to accept them so with all of the proof I can gather based on the actions of people who claim to be Christians I would say yes.

Racism is a matter of the heart. Your question may as well ask can a bible believing Christian be a sinner? God is perfecting all of us. And
Whether someone is cruel because they don’t like a certain skin color or they don’t like Left handed people, the problem is their sinful nature, not how that nature is manifesting at that particular moment. You should pray for your enemies and love them like Jesus commanded. Treat them with kindness and not judge them. Hope for the best for them, and give them the benefit of the doubt. It may be that they are not a racist, but something else all together. Only God sees in the heart.

If you are talking about in the beginning, as in one wrestling with this particular sin, then I would say yes, as if their conversion is true, over time, the conviction of the Holy Spirit will grow stronger and they will no longer desire this sin in their life. However, for those who claim salvation, yet have no qualms about spewing blatantly racist remarks, then that person is as the members of the KKK: FALSE BELIEVERS.

It wasn’t even recognized as a term for nearly all of man’s existence. Societies were broken down by class. Usually money determined what class you were in. We call the top class the elites today.
Political Correctness has made it very complicated.

The term racism implies that there is another race of beings beyond the human race such as Klingons and Lizard people! Here on earth there is only one race created under God. I don’t see any good arguments here based on scripture. The best example from Jesus was his interaction with the samaritan woman. There was a major ethnic divide here but Jesus showed her love and compassion. Then he and the apostles stayed with the samaritans for 2 days preaching. That shows me that we are supposed to love our fellow man no matter what their ethnicity is.

Well, I think there are a fair amount of people who are politically misled or deceived. Many/most of them mean well but they don’t realize that the policies they are voting for are doin for more harm than good. For example, when the Democratic Party pushed for slavery to be maintained, perhaps they were arguing for their rights and freedoms to own slaves while forgetting that they were robbing slaves of their freedom. Then the Republican Party arose as an anti-slavery Party. Then there was the time that the Left pushed for a policy that pays unwed mothers for their children so long as there is no man in the house, then it unintentionally incentives fatherlessness. I doubt that many on the left thought about this at its creation or realized afterwards, but it’s a point worth knowing…

If we do not love our brothers and sisters, how can we say we love God? Simple answer, a child of God should not be a racist. Nor should they be oppressive towards women. Nor should they discriminate against those with a disability. It shames me that so many who claim to love Jesus can be filled with hatred and prejudice. This then puts the church to shame. I so hate this stupid idea that some spout that the races should be kept divided and there should be no marriage between people of different colours. How dare they pretend that this is Christian doctrine. How dare they use this to disguise their hate.
