Mark Williams, when he was G O of the CoG…

Mark Williams, when he was G O of the CoG said that he feared that; ” what we know gets in the way of what we need to know.” How busy we have been over the years trying to convince people that what we know is what they need to know. Down through the years I have seen a lot of the church executives come in and out of Lovell Field in Chattanooga, always intent, always looking as if they were on the most important mission of anyone on the plane.
I felt so cheap for I was only chasing dollars or perhaps taking a vacation. So I think of all the plane tickets and their accumulated costs and I think of all the cars that have been wore out and the uncountable amount of $$ spent on hotel and motel bills and wonder if Solomon hadn’t of nailed it early on; ” all is vanity.”
So we ask the question; what do we know, what do we really know and what has been built that hasn’t already come apart or will start to disintegrate in the future.
